FCI HRMS Login: Step by Step Guide for Employees

The FCI HRMS login is how every officer and employee of the Food Corporation of India opens the HR system that holds their leave, attendance, profile, payslip circulars and more. The address is short and easy to remember: hrmsfci.in/login.

This page walks you through each click, tells you what to type in each box, and explains what to do when the page refuses to let you in. We are an unofficial help site. We cannot log you in, reset a password or see your records. Only FCI and your own office can do that.

Read it once at your desk and you will not need to call anyone the next time the screen asks for your password.

FCI HRMS Login Steps on hrmsfci.in

Keep your employee number and the password from your office ready before you start. Then follow these steps exactly.

  1. Open a current browser and type https://www.hrmsfci.in/login in the address bar yourself. Do not open it from a forwarded link.
  2. Put your Employee Number into the Login ID field. This is your HRMS login ID. Do not add your name or any spaces.
  3. In the Password box, type the password shared with you by the FCI Computer/IT section of your office.
  4. Look at the captcha number shown on the screen and type the same number in the captcha box.
  5. Click the button to log in.
  6. You will land on the Home Page. From here you can open Dashboard, Attendance, Leave and the other menus.

If the captcha is hard to read, refresh it and type the new one. A wrong captcha is the most common reason a first try fails, even when the ID and password are right.

Most staff open the HRMS login page from a shared office computer, so type the address yourself and check it before you enter your employee number.

Your HRMS Login ID and Password

Your hrms login id is your Employee Number, the same number used in your service records. It is not your mobile number, your email or your name.

Your password does not come from this website or from any other site. The FCI Computer/IT section shares it with you. If you joined recently or were transferred and have never logged in, ask the Computer/IT section or the HRMS nodal officer in your office for it.

Forgot password or locked account

There is no point trying again and again with guesses. Do this instead:

  1. Meet the HRMS nodal officer posted in your own office. That officer is able to look at the roles and permissions attached to your account.
  2. If the problem is still there, write to hrmssupport.fci@gov.in. Put your employee number, full name and office in the email.
  3. Wait for a reply before trying many more times.

If you want to change your password, ask the same people how it is done for your office, so you follow the current process.

Your login ID is the Employee Number from your service records, not your phone number or name, so keep it noted somewhere private.

ESS and MSS After You Log In

HRMS has two sides. Which one you see depends on your role.

PartWho uses itWhat it is for
Employee Self Service (ESS)Every employeeYour own leave, attendance, reimbursement, profile, training and circulars
Manager Self Service (MSS)Officers with approval rolesApproving requests from the staff who report to them

If you have an approval role, the MSS link sits at the top right of the screen. If you expect to see it and it is missing, ask the HRMS nodal officer to check your role.

The menus and icons include Dashboard, Attendance, Leave, Reimbursement, Directory, Training, Reports, Policies and Circulars, Connect+ for internal chat and messages, Survey, Performance and Help. You will also find a Retirement Benefit Calculator and My Profile. Changes you request in My Profile go for approval before they show. To understand how pay items in circulars work, see our FCI salary guide.

ESS is the side every employee sees after logging in, while officers with approval roles also get the MSS link at the top right.

Common HRMS FCI Login Errors in Plain Words

Sometimes the hrms fci login page shows an error code instead of the Home Page. Here is what these codes usually mean on any website, and what you can do.

CodeUsual meaningWhat to try
401The system did not accept who you areCheck the employee number, password and captcha, then try once more
403You are known but not allowed into that pageAsk the nodal officer to check your roles and permissions
404The page address is wrong or has movedType hrmsfci.in/login again from scratch
500Something broke on the server sideWait a while and try later; it is not your fault
503The server is busy or under maintenanceTry again after some time, away from the morning rush

The session also ends by itself after about one hour with no activity. If you leave a half filled leave form open over lunch, you may come back to the login screen. Save your work before you step away.

Stick to an up to date Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari. An old browser on a shared computer can show a blank page or break the captcha.

Codes like 500 and 503 come from the server side, so waiting and trying later often works better than changing your password.

FCI Login Pages: Which Site Is Which

Many people search for fci login or fci.gov.in login and land on the main FCI website. That is the corporation's public site, with news, tenders and careers. HRMS is a separate site at hrmsfci.in. Searches like hrms login fci or hrm login page should end at that same address.

FCI also runs other online systems for different jobs:

Your HRMS password works only on HRMS. Do not type it into any of these other sites.

Keep Your FCI HRMS Login Safe

Your HRMS account holds your service details and leave history. Treat the password the way you treat your bank PIN.

  • Do not tell your password to a colleague, a clerk who offers to help, or anyone who calls or messages you.
  • Type your password only on hrmsfci.in. Check the address bar every time.
  • Ignore emails or messages with a login link, even if they look official. Type the address yourself.
  • On a shared office computer, log out when you finish and do not let the browser save the password.
  • If you think someone else knows your password, tell the HRMS nodal officer the same day.

No genuine FCI staff member needs your password to fix your record. The nodal officer can check roles without it.

Type your password only on hrmsfci.in and log out of shared computers, because no genuine staff member will ever ask you for it.

Messages with login links can be fake, so open HRMS by typing the address yourself rather than tapping a link someone sent.

Questions people ask

What is my HRMS login ID in FCI?

HRMS uses the Employee Number as the login ID. Enter it in the Login ID box on hrmsfci.in/login without spaces. It is not your mobile number or email.

Where do I get my FCI HRMS password?

The FCI Computer/IT section shares the password with you. If you never received it, ask the Computer/IT section or the HRMS nodal officer in your office.

What should I do if HRMS FCI login is not working?

First check the employee number, password and captcha, and use a current browser. If it still fails, see the HRMS nodal officer at your office, who can review the access set for you. Still stuck? Write to hrmssupport.fci@gov.in and mention your employee number, your name and the office where you work.

Is fci.gov.in login the same as HRMS login?

No. fci.gov.in is the main public website of the corporation. HRMS is a separate system at hrmsfci.in/login, and only employees with an employee number can use it.

Why does HRMS log me out by itself?

The session closes after about one hour with no activity. This protects your account on shared computers. Save any form you are filling before you leave the desk.

Where is the MSS link in FCI HRMS?

Officers with approval roles see the Manager Self Service link at the top right after they log in. If you need it and cannot see it, ask the nodal officer to check your role.
